A Sunday of Gratitude
Today has been a day of gratitude. It has been a very full week. Looking around the meeting room, I'm struck by the gift that is ours as a congregation. We are women with a heart for the dear neighbor in so many diverse places of our world. We finished our time with Fr, Frank today. It has truly been days of stretching and imagining a global congregation, building trust. Here are a few photos from the last few days, notice the joy! Today, our Regional Community back home in the Pennsylvania area dedicated the outdoor "chapel" and prayed to stop the pipeline and preserve the care of the land. Some of the group here watched it "live streamed" How we can reach all over the world in solidarity! Amazing Grace!
July 3rd A Walk to the Pacific
Three of us ventured to the Pacific Ocean. There is a lovely overlook just a few block from our house. BUT, if you venture down the curving road, you come to a bridge over to the edge of the Ocean. It was a beautiful afternoon. They say that in the winter here the sun does not come out. It remains overcast all day. Yesterday, the sun came out and it was lovely by the water! Bridge to the Ocean From the road along the way The edge of the shore Don't they look great! Sun setting as we climbed the hill toward home.
